Communal Seder 5783

Our annual communal seder has been building back since the pandemic. This year 60 people joined a lively event, bringing delicious Pesach dishes to share. Thanks to Eve and her team of helpers who worked so hard to create such an enjoyable and memorable evening.

Purim

Rabbi Shoshana treated us to a wonderfully lively and rowdy retelling of the Purim story, in her first week in Birmingham. Lots of home-made greggers, crowns, and a feast to share!

Dangling doughnuts at the Chanukah party

It's become a tradition - for all ages! Why not try it at home too - from the washing line?

Dancing with Eve

Dancing with Eve

Dancing practice after Shabbat service, beautifully (and encouragingly) taught by Eve. Age no bar - from our 20s to 97! We're learning - and having fun!

The dream passes by the window – A concert for Ukraine

The dream passes by the window – A concert for Ukraine

Nearly 200 people packed into the Birmingham Progressive Synagogue on Sunday November 27th to hear three talented musical ensembles. The Kol Kinor Choir began the concert.  Laurie Taylor, one of their longest serving members introduced them and their conductor and Director of Music - Jake Fifer.
